どちらの番組も、今注目されている「イクメン」の特集です。

みなさん、ご存知ですか？「イクメン」なる言葉を。
「イケメン」、「オトメン」でもなく、「イクメン」。
「イクメン」＝「育メン」
「イクメン」とは、育児と、イケメンorメンズの造語。
昨今の子育てに積極的に参加し、子育てを楽しむ男性を「イクメン」と呼びます。
いま、イクメンがモテます。

ダッドギアショップのホームページに、
『育児をするパパは素敵な、ちょいモテパパです！』と以前より記載していますが、
ちょいモテパパは、ずばりイクメンです。
ダッドギアは、まさにイクメンを応援・サポートしています。

Our Billboard bags are partially made from recycled billboards.
Billboards are made from a heavy duty vinyl covering on top of a
durable mesh to withstand the torments of time and weather.
We rescue them before they are taken to the landfill and turn them
into one-of-a-kind bags.
The advertisements on billboards make for very interesting bag designs.
After unfolding each billboard (many as large as 800 square feet)
each bag is hand-selected by our staff, friends, family and
local artists using clear plastic pattern templates.
We then clean and "de-wrinkle" them while preserving the unique
flavor that comes with months of wear, tear and handling.
Check back often as we continually add new bags and designs.

FIND OUT ABOUT THE GEAR LOGO

THE GEAR LOGO

Many people have commented on our logo, mostly compliments and
a few "what is it?"
So we decided to tell you how it started.
Early on in our design processes as we were forming The Gear Group
we had many ideas and iterations of what our logo might look like,
none of which we liked much.
After a few weeks, we started meeting with our graphic designer/web guru
(Peter) to brainstorm.
The meetings primarily took place between 11:00pm and 4:00am
when our respective families were sleeping.
Typically there was plenty of good music, munchy food and beverages in hand.
One night, circa 3:00am, when most ideas start taking interesting turns,
Peter was drawing and creating with great vigor and in a weird series of events accidentally created something.
As he began to undo a few steps, we shouted "go back three steps".
It was perfect.
The result was a simplistic, memorablea and unique version of a gear.
Now, years later, the registered trademark that represents our company
continues to get compliments.
At a few requests we have started to put our logo on a few items.
Thanks for all the compliments over the year!
